OH&S Training

Manual Task Training - is a competency based and practical approach to manual handling.  In-house training involves a brief theory session followed by participants performing meaningful and relevant activities (related to their jobs) in their workplace, whilst supervised by an experienced health professional. 

Fatigue Management Training is an awareness training to assist employee’s to identify signs of fatigue and implement strategies to minimize the effects of fatigue on their health.  Training includes advice on understanding what fatigue is and how it affects working performance and general health, strategies to use when working shift work and understanding the affects of food and alcohol on sleep. 

Ergonomic Training – Training can include one of our experienced consultant’s attending your workplace to present information on correct sitting posture and ergonomics.  In addition to this training, consultants can perform brief assessments for as many of your employees as you require.  Although it may be necessary to use companies such as Re-Start Consulting to perform assessments of people with complicated injuries, we can train members of your organisation to perform basic ergonomic assessments, through a comprehensive one-day course, which can be run at our offices or in your workplace. 

WorkCover accredited OH&S Consultation Training – for OHS Committee members and OHS representatives.  This course is the 4 day WorkCover NSW accredited course and is recommended for all organisations that employ more than 20 employees.  Although the course has certain specific content requirements, trainers can apply specific examples relevant to your industry. 

Risk Management Training – Aimed at supervisors and managers, this is a half day course which covers legal requirements under OHS legislation, the principals of hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control, as well as addressing the specific hazards associated with your organisation. 

Incident Investigation Training – Aimed at supervisors and managers, this half day course covers a review of the main factors to consider during the incident investigation process.  Practical true-life examples are used to assist participants to apply the principles.
