Job Seeking
This service assists workers in securing new employment. It provides support and education on subjects such as job seeking skills, computer skills, lack of confidence, lack of motivation, isolation and a lack of consistency in effort towards job seeking.
Both individual and group job seeking programmes can be provided and are overseen by an experienced consultant to assist the individual in gaining new employment. Both involve the provision of intensive job seeking education and support to increase the employee’s ability to perform job seeking activities independently in order to secure work.
A series of job seeking modules have been developed that cover the following areas:

Resume and cover letter preparation and job search techniques

Registration with Centrelink and local Jobs Network Provider

Cold canvassing

Training on all equipment to support job seeking

Telephone, letter writing and interview techniques

Disclosure of injury

Mock interviews and cold canvassing activities are conducted to maximize the workers chance of securing new employment.
